Bury Me, The Sydney metal outfit influenced by heavyweights such as Parkway Drive, The Ghost Inside & Killswitch Engage, are here to deliver their own offering on the metal genre with big melodic choruses, crushing breakdowns and a fresh take on modern metalcore with more emphasis on bringing the grit and heaviness into the fold and big melodies.

Today, they are proud to release their latest single 'After the Suffering', the first taste of the band's upcoming debut EP, which is set for release independently on Friday June 18th 2021. "The EP as a whole is about enduring pain and going through the rough patches life throws at you;" explains vocalist Brendan Clark "However, there is hope in all of us and at the end of the day, knowing those moments eventually will pass is what gives us the strength to make it through to the light on the other side"

The new single is a reflection on Brendan's school life, which touches on the hard-hitting subject of bullying and abuse, something he experienced relentlessly during his teenage years, as he revealed:

"After The Suffering was inspired by a gripping personal experience I went through growing up where I was bullied heavily throughout my schooling years. Upon reflection, I realised bullies did what they did because they were miserable themselves, and my suffering masked their own. Looking back now, I can't hate them for it, if anything I feel sorry for them, because it made me realise their fixation with bullying me, was nothing more than a personal attack to try and cover up their own issues." But at the end of his turmoil, came hope, which is what Bury Me's new single is all about, that light at the end of the tunnel we all need to keep reaching for. "I'm a stronger person having experienced it, and I hope this song can help others in a similar situation, to take control of their lives and take a stand against that kind of behaviour by being the bigger person and not feeding their abuse." What helps us all get by in life, is knowing we're not alone in our suffering as Brendan concludes "I always remember this, as much as I was bullied, so were others, and you're definitely not alone in your battles. After darkness, comes light, after misery, comes tranquillity, after suffering, comes strength.

2021 is already shaping up to be Bury Me's biggest year musically with plenty of post-COVID shows lined up along the East Coast (including support slots for Diamond Construct, Mirrors and Deathbeds) and their best material to date which they can't wait to share with the world, both online and up close and personal.
