For Life Reveals Effervescent New Single 'Dark'

Sydney-based electronic act For Life has today returned with a pulsing new single ‘Dark’ – produced and mixed by the artist himself, and mastered by Suture Mastering (Dom Dolla, Willaris.K).

‘Dark’ begins with a bouncy oscillating bass-synth line, while syncopated beats dictate the track’s lively tempo. Cunning use of terraced dynamics and an extensive riser contribute to a prolonged crescendo as warm layers of atmospheric pads are introduced. Variations are scattered throughout the track, with diverse skilful production techniques on display

For Life, full name Adam Bozzetto, explains the sentiment behind ‘Dark’:

“I have spent a lot of my life awake at night and there is a certain mood that you can only find when everything is dark and you’re speeding through a tunnel with all the lights. 'Dark' is the track for that moment.”

Previous singles have been supported by triple j, FBi and numerous Australian community radio stations. He has worked on pieces for ABC TV, TEDx and Optus, and has produced and remixed records for international labels Universal Music and Island Records.

In the live arena, For Life has performed as a DJ and multi-instrumentalist at festivals such as Splendour In the Grass and Field Day, sharing the stage with heavyweights Mark Ronson (UK), Steve Aoki (USA), The Presets and Rüfüs Du Sol.
