Sydney alternative metal outfit Inertia are a couple of weeks away from the release of forthcoming EP 'Memoria', out via Resist Records on March 18. In the meantime the quartet return with one last single, "Arisaka", a soaring second taste of what's to come.

Once again produced and engineered by resident producer and guitarist Mark Williamson (Keywork Audio) with additional mixing and mastering by the legendary Kris Crummett (Dance Gavin Dance, Issues, Hail The Sun), "Arisaka" serves as a crushing opening track.

"Every great story needs an attention grabbing opening," tells vocalist Julian Latouche. "Arisaka is that powerful beginning we wanted for the story we created with this EP, following the protagonists descent into blind rage and vengeance, wanting only retribution."

"Hivemind" was the first to be pulled from 'Memoria' and builds on the foundations "Arisaka" lay, exploring the rage and anxiety of dealing with the new world we have created through over consumption, societal division through status, and the modern day concept of capitalism.

'Memoria' hopes to connect with listeners on multiple levels. Tackling subjects such as revenge, hopelessness, inequality and self-identity, the record pulls the listener in with down-to-earth lyrics through the lens of a dystopian future.

To celebrate the release of 'Memoria', Inertia announced an Australian club tour co-presented by AM//PM and The Neighbourhood beginning April 1 in Adelaide at The Fat Controller, before a hometown headliner at Sydney's Burdekin Hotel on April 14, then travelling to The Brightside in Brisbane on April 16 and rounding out the tour in Melbourne at Inflation on May 7. Tickets are on sale now. In addition to this, Inertia have joined Pridelands on their Light Bends album tour, jumping up to support the Sydney Crowbar show on March 18.

Having shared the stage with some of the most prominent alternative acts both Australian and international, Inertia’s live show has become an essential part of their package. Inertia have previously supported Dream on Dreamer, Ocean Grove, Void of Vision, Story of The Year (US), Slaves (US) and Thornhill and continue to put everything into their live performances, living up to the vocal prowess and exciting instrumentation they have on record.

"Arisaka" and "Hivemind" are available and streaming everywhere now. 'Memoria' will be available Friday March 18.
