Jack Vidgen Releases New Banger PRAY
Fresh out of the jungle and his stunning performance on “I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here”, Jack Vidgen returns with his deeply personal and powerful new single “PRAY”, which is available NOW on all streaming platforms. Following the success of his Eurovision Australia Decides' single “I Am King, I Am Queen”, Jack continues to push limits with his honest and raw lyrics and is not afraid to be unashamedly Jack.
“PRAY is about my relationship with vices and the demons I have faced in my life whilst growing up in the shadow of fame. Writing PRAY was the first step in dealing with the demons and facing my truth. It’s about the beautiful and sometimes spiritual experiences I have found during what has been a really challenging time in my life. I did grow up in the church but since coming out, in lots of ways, I have found my church and my friendships in clubs. PRAY is a celebration, a way to say f*** you and a song that let’s me dance my way through the hard times. In the face of adversity we can all find love and acceptance - and this song is about finding truth and beauty in the pain.” (Jack Vidgen)
Co-written with Andy Hopkins and Maddie Crabtree and originally produced by Hopkins, PRAY has already had a journey around the world with the final version a remix my UK producer Will Rumens. The official music video, directed by Benji Hart, drops with the single and is sure to set tongues wagging and bring his dedicated Vidgen army to life. With a collage of out and proud colourful characters, the video takes us on a journey through the club scene at its finest and will be a visual feast.
Jack Vidgen dances to the beat of his own drum. In the lead up to the 2021 Mardi Gras Jack has been involved in an incredible partnership with Koala Furniture and their ‘comfortably queer’ campaign and will dance up a storm on their 2021 float. He has also just teamed up with Serenade Sounds and is offering fans the opportunity to have a personal serenade of his new single! As his star continues to rise, a world of opportunity is opening for Australia’s loved son Jack and the story of hope and resilience that he continues to share.
