Melbourne's Some Heard Trouble have solidified a sound of their own amongst the local hardcore scene, a perfect melting pot of sound that blends the rawness of Underoath with the clever creativity of Hellions, an energetic live performance and poignant lyrics. For those who remain uninitiated, the group remains a surprise package.

Today, they are engaging the HIVEMIND. A blistering, hard-edged new single called "Hivemind" and along with it, a fantastical video featuring VR, screaming underwater and growing ever closer to the Hivemind trapped in the VR world revolting/failing.

The single will be released into the world on Friday September 3rd and will be available after that date at https://ffm.to/sht_hivemind.

The band say that "For us, ‘Hivemind’ is a product of the pandemic - especially in terms of the impact it's had on our social constructs. It’s hard to not being together, but it’s emotionally and mentally buoying to see countercultures and people within the scene settling into little online communities, banding together and keeping creative. It’s kind of a revolution song against circumstantial complacency."

Never wanting to rest on their laurels, Some Heard Trouble sought out Callan Orr (Dream on Dreamer) for this new single ‘Hive Mind’ and similarly for this video, having found Martin Wood to Film/Direct/Produce and Edit!

Maniacs said of the band: "Some Heard Trouble are well-positioned to begin an ascent to the top of the Aussie scene and we have a feeling that Hivemind will be the track to take them there."

Some Heard Trouble began as a creative outlet between friends in 2016. It wasn't until 2018, with the addition of a new fourth member, that the project became what it is today. Under the watchful guidance of Scottie Simpson (Alpha Wolf), their releases "Sweet Tooth" and "Blood Eyes" put Some Heard Trouble on the radar of showrunners, which allowed the band to support the likes of Advocates and Drown This City.

The band then turned their attention to their debut EP ‘Scorpion’ which was recorded with The Loud Noise Estate. The four-track EP produced three singles, including ‘Permanence’, a poignant rumination on how we deal with loss, which also became the band’s first music video.

Upon it's release, Wall of Sound reviewed the EP, saying that "No two tracks on Scorpion are even remotely close to being the same, breathing a sense of fresh air to the hardcore world. It’s experimental, exhilarating and executed so damn well." The band and Anti-Vinyl Vinyl Club have partnered previously, with the band scoring a coveted spot alongside Saviour on a limited run vinyl pressing.

Hivemind will be released into the world on Friday September 3rd and will be available from then at https://ffm.to/sht_hivemind.
