TAJ RALPH SHARES NEW TRACK 'WALLS 2 BREAK' OFF HIS FORTHCOMING DEBUT EP

Sydney singer/songwriter Taj Ralph releases his new single ‘Walls 2 Break’, the first single to be released from his debut EP of the same name, set for an early 2021 release.

What found its beginnings in Taj Ralph’s bedroom studio soon blossomed into something truly funky with Taj enlisting the help of Melbourne-based producer Tentendo, whose lush synths, delicately layered over chill guitar riffs and a driving groove brought new life to the track.

Walls 2 Break’ is a song ‘about moving forward and knowing what’s important to me in doing so’ Taj writes.

2020 saw the inspired young songwriter begin putting together what has become his debut EP, a body of work that has seen Taj refine his sound and cement the vision for his project. Produced by Tentendo and mixed by Simon Lam, the ‘Walls 2 Break’ EP (to be released early 2021) boast collaborations with Alice Ivy, Jim ALXDNR and Golden Vessels and is certainly Taj Ralph’s most realised work to date, firmly establishing him as an up and coming indie-pop heavy hitter.

Having released music since he was 16, Taj Ralph has amassed a steady collection of songs. Starting with his debut single ‘Beat The Keeper’, which captured the attention of the triple j Unearthed team who chose Taj as a finalist for Unearthed High in 2017, followed later that year by the soulful ‘Night Catcher’ and a feature vocal on Horrowshow’s track ‘Push’. In 2018 Taj released  ‘All I Do’ which showed further progression and a songwriter coming of age. 2019’s ‘Kill The Mood’ was added into rotation on triple j and Taj began to perform more headline shows as well as partnering with Niche Productions as his touring agent.

To celebrate the release Taj Ralph will be playing 2 sessions at The Chippo Hotel on the 21st November presented by Great Southern Nights and will see Ralph debuting his new 3 piece band - transforming Taj’s already dynamic live set into a show that can’t be missed. You can purchase tickets here.
