Mornington Peninsula outfit, Teenage Dads, return with their new track 'Thank You for the Honey, Honey'. Continuing with their trademark indie-pop sound, their new track delves into the fears of not feeling fulfilled in life, premiered via triple j's Home & Hosed.

After meeting in High School, the four-piece band have been able to develop into a fully DIY project, where everything including the production, mixing, recording, management, artwork and videos are produced by the band members themselves. Teenage Dads new track 'Thank You for the Honey, Honey', inspired by ABBA's 'Honey, Honey', touches on feelings of being deserted by someone close to you. The lyrics are juxtaposed sonically by the upbeat pop-rock feel of the song with notes of shoegaze and dream-pop influences.

"It's about being left in the lurch by someone and the struggles of coping with that, and that while you're thankful for 'the honey', you fear the prospect of living an unfulfilling life," explains Vincent (Drums).

'Thank You for the Honey, Honey' follows on from their February release 'Adrenaline Rush' which also premiered via triple j's Home & Hosed and received support from outlets such as AAA Backstage, Newcastle Live and The Age Melbourne.

Known for their immersive live performances, Teenage Dads have been able to play at an array of festivals such as St Kilda Festival and NYE On The Hill. They've also supported the likes of Psychedelic Porn CrumpetsRuby FieldsNortheast Party House and most recently Lime Cordiale on their Australian 'Robbery' tour in 2019
