THE BLACK CARDINALS ‘LOVE ON THE RISE’ VIDEO OUT NOW!
“Meatier than a steak sandwich”. – 8.5/10

Forming in early 2019 The Black Cardinals hit the ground running. Their first show at Frankie's Pizza reached capacity before the band had even hit the stage. After playing a flurry of live shows pre-pandemic they managed to nab themselves their first international support for german stoner-rock legends Kadavar which was unfortunately postponed for a later date.
The band then turned their attention to the recording studio which has led us to the release of their debut single ‘Love On The Rise’ produced by Sean Carey at Church St Studios (Thirsty Merc, Cat Stevens, Daniel Johns, The Saints).
‘Love On The Rise’ begins with a bluesy fuzz riff that screams out of the speakers before the whole band is in. It’s got all the groove you need from a two’s and four's rock n roll band and all the sexy swagger you want from the soulful vocals of frontman Craig Cassar.
The Black Cardinals talk about the meaning behind ‘Love On The Rise’’:
“Love On The Rise is about living a second life which is not necessarily like your everyday life. When you’re in that mode which is fueled by adrenaline and life, things can quickly escalate and your confidence levels are off the charts”
To coincide with the release, the band will be playing a single launch to a limited seated audience at Frankie's Pizza.
