The Teskey Brothers have teamed up with hip hop royalty RJD2 to bring you a remix of their tune ‘So Caught Up’. This is the first time the band’s music has had the remix treatment; the collaboration between the Melbourne band and the revered US DJ/producer results in a fusion of hip hop, psych rock & electronica that sees the fan-favourite take on a new life whilst honouring the classic Teskey Brothers’ feel.

“This is easily one of the coolest things our blues band has ever been associated with. We’re not sure what this music is but we really like it.”
– Brendon Love (Bassist, The Teskey Brothers)

“I immediately heard a path I could take with the song to put my own spin on it. I had a blast doing this remix, drawing on influences from early 90's LA hip-hop to late 60's psych rock and some pit stops in between..” – RJD2

‘So Caught Up (RJD2 remix)’ is the band’s first release since their #1 ARIA charting album, Live At The Forum (May, 2020) - which featured songs from the band’s two critically acclaimed albums, Run Home Slow (2019) and Half Mile Harvest (2017), as well as a special cover of John Lennon’s ‘Jealous Guy’. The release was embraced by loyal and new fans alike, and recently earned the band 3 x ARIA Award nominations for Best Group, Best Blues & Roots Album and Best Australian Live Act.

As well as being a radio hit on home soil, ‘So Caught Up’ – now at a combined 24 million+ streams - was a Top 10 AAA hit in the US and took out first place in the International Song-writing Competition in the AAA (Adult Album Alternative) category. The track is lifted from The Teskey Brothers’ 2019 album, Run Home Slow – which earned the band a #2 ARIA Album charting, three ARIA Awards (alongside a breathtaking performance of ‘Rain’ at the event), four Music Victoria Awards and a Grammy Nomination for Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical, recognising Paul Butler & Sam Teskey as the album engineers along with Melbourne’s Joe Carra as mastering engineer.
