Sydney-based alternative-metal quartet Wolf Creek have just revealed their ferocious new single ‘Viral’ – produced by Stevie Knight (Stand AtlanticYours TrulyRedHook) and mixed by Dave Petrovic (NorthlaneTonight Alive).

Opening with crisp distortion, feverish drums and the bristling lead vocals of Chase Bosward, ‘Viral’ is a deftly produced exemplar of alternative-metal. Taking cues from luminaires DeftonesArchitects and Bring Me The Horizon, ‘Viral’ sets a manic pace before introducing its rattling, yet wholly satisfying bridge.

Wolf Creek talk about the inspiration behind ‘Viral’:

“It is natural for artists to use their voice to express frustration and fear with the current social and political climate in which we live.”

To coincide with the single release, the band will also reveal the accompanying video clip, directed by Kim Quint and filmed at Marrickville’s The Factory Theatre and across the Inner West of Sydney. The clip features Mark Furze (Home & Away) and sees our protagonist escaping from captivity.

The band will perform a one-off single launch show at Frankie’s Pizza on Sunday, November 29. This follows on from them supporting Australian mates PavilionFANGZ and Isotopes. Previous releases have seen support from Apple MusicMusic Feeds and Australian radio stations triple jtriple j Unearthed and Edge Radio.

‘Viral’ is available worldwide now
