Alex The Astronaut - 'Christmas in July' - Song Review

Alex The Astronaut gave us a little taster of The Theory of Absolutely Nothing, which is heading our way on August 21.

This track is such a delicate and beautiful account of that unmistakeable feeling of falling in love. The song perfectly captures the daze of new love and the exploration of new relationships. WIth scintillating melodies, plucked guitar and Alex’s distinctive sound this song is a quintessential feel good track. It is undeniable that Alex is a story teller and one with something to say and share. There is a real honesty in Alex’s accounts of the human experience in all it’s joy and chaos. Her ability to capture and then communicate the shared human experience is a true skill. This song in particular is a feel good. It just sparks a feeling of warmth and nostalgia. The accompanying video is quirky and the perfect accompaniment to the song. It elevates the lightness and euphoria Alex has so masterfully created.
