Keith Urban - 'Change Your Mind' - Song Review
REVIEW BY: JADE GUIDA
I am an unapologetic fan of Keith Urban. There is just something about his little bit of country, little bit of seems like a really decent human being that I just can’t resist. We are fast approaching the release of Urban’s latest album “The Speed of Now”.
The newest release from the upcoming album “Change your mind” is a pure and unadulterated heartbreak tune, and frankly I am here for it. The song really just lets you have those creamy caramel vocals straight away. I almost melted into my seat as soon as the song started. I’m not quite sure what it was about the lyric
I don’t wanna call ya
Then I wanna call ya
That really just nailed me to the floor of obsession but I was pretty finished at that line and it was about 12 seconds into the song. The song is a smooth buttermilk melody with desperately heartbreaking lyrics, backed by the sultry melody that our friend Keith has very masterfully delivered on in so many of his previous works. Keith Urban is a seasoned professional and it shows throughout this piece, the song is well thought out from the first note to the last. There is something to say about professional musicians who have been in the game for a while, and it is that they really just put out crisp music. There is a seamless flow, it’s very organic the progression throughout the song. The flow from verse to chorus just makes sense and you feel like you are on a journey from the get go. “The Speed of Now” is out soon and I implore you to give Keith Urban this album a turn, or at the very least this absolutely stunning track.
