Micra Single Review – 'Under My Skin' - Song Review

My favourite type of track is one that pleasantly surprises you, and it’s no doubt that Sydney duo, Micra’s new release ‘Under My Skin’ does that. The combined project of members Ivana Kafedjiyska and Robbie Cain- Micra is an electro, dream-pop experience that immediately encapsulates listeners.
Following their supporting slot to Aussie crowd favourites, Lime Cordiale, Micra have already proved themselves to be a strong contender in this changing industry. Under My Skin is everything you could wish for from a track. At first listen you’ll be transported to what I can only describe as a moment from a video game, drifting in a sea of clouds. Ivana’s dreamy vocals will cement themselves with permanent residence in your head, and brilliant production from Robbie makes for the perfect track.

Personally, I’ve already added this song to every playlist I have. It’s the perfect track for driving in the city at night, speeding down a road with golden streetlights catching your eye. Under My Skin is one of those tracks that you simply can’t listen to once; to truly experience the song, chuck in some headphones, press that repeat button and just drift away with the track.

With only five singles released so far, it’s already clear that Micra are a force to be reckoned with. I’m already quite a large fan of this duo, and highly recommend checking out this new single. I cannot wait to follow their journey as they continue to develop their sound.
