If you haven't already heard of the badass band that is Redhook by now then I would tell you in the nicest possible way that you must be living on another planet or something.

The alt-rock band that reside in Sydney have a track record of releasing quality tracks time after time and with that being said, after releasing their debut EP “Bad Decisions” last year it saw a whole lot of success through Spotify streams of nearly 5 million, and a lot of radio support.
Now, 2022 is getting kicked off hard and heavy with this brand new release from the band titled “Low Budget Horror” and if the title doesn’t instantly interest you already, then the track itself will blow your mind.

Between the striking guitars, hard drum beats, and the explosive vocals from vocalist Emmy Mack, “Low Budget Horror” is full of heavy goodness that sets the bar high for alt-rock bands all over. Redhook once again uses their unique ways of incorporating the electro pop sound combined with the heaviness of the instruments to create this whirlwind of a sound that holds a lot of anger towards online bullying and the aggressive screams of Emmy intertwine throughout the track to help expel the anger and emotion out to listeners.

Lyrically, ‘Low Budget Horror’ is a metaphor for online bullies and the pain they try to inflict, casting their targets as victims in a gruesome public spectacle. But more often than not, it’s a pretty D-grade product.
— Emmy Mack

From the start to the end, it all just works perfectly together - “Low Budget Horror” is everything you could have ever wanted from an alt-rock track. The band are off to a great start of the year with this terrific release and it really sets them up for a great year ahead.
You can catch Redhook at festivals such as Full Tilt, Unify Gathering, and Halloween Hysteria.
