Just in time for the summer break, I OH YOU are pleased to present Confidence Man's Holiday Remixes’, a two-track remix package of their hit single ‘Holiday’. Featuring a thumping rework from London heavyweight producer Erol Alkan and a raging house remix from UK collective Bruise, this hypnotic package will carry you from the office holiday party to that poolside mojito you’ve been longing for. ‘Holiday’ is lifted off Confidence Man’s highly anticipated sophomore album TILT, out Friday 1 April through I OH YOU.

Released last month, ‘Holiday’ is a summer dance anthem that sounds like it’s been beamed in directly from an early ‘90s Blackburn rave. On ‘Holiday Remixes’, Confidence Man take you to new destinations.

Backed by Boiler Room, BBC Radio 6 and once dubbed MixMag’s DJ of the Year, Erol Alkan is synonymous with infamous club nights at London’s Trash and Fabric, and has delivered remixes for the likes of Daft Punk, Hot Chip, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and DJ Koze. On his acid tweaked rework of ‘Holiday’, Alkan stretches out the original and adds a touch of industrial feel to deliver an instrumental banger straight from a hot European summer.

"I hadn't spent much time in the studio over the last few years, I hardly had much drive to be creative during lockdown's 18 or so months and looking back I can fully understand why. So, it meant that I didn't rework any artists music since 2018. When Jeff Barrett sent me 'Holiday', I couldn't say 'no'. It's energy and sentiment were ingredients I wanted to work with, and I've always liked the band. I saw them turn the Scala upside down a few years back and I've been a fan since. I made the rework in a day; I knew exactly what I wanted to create within moments of exploring the multi-tracks. Those mixes which come fast are usually my favourites, and this one is definitely one of them'"

A favourite of Radio 1’s Annie Mac and included in The Guardian’s Best of 2020 wrap, Bruise deliver a Detroit-flavoured underground house remix of ‘Holiday’. Adding a bassline slicker than your average, ‘Holiday (Bruise Remix)’ conjures up a piece of dreamy celestial house music that will cause involuntary levitation on the dancefloor.

Their first single released through I OH YOU, ‘Holiday’ was an instant hit locally and overseas. Getting added to rotation on triple j its first week of release, the track saw international pickup from CLASH, Brooklyn Vegan, Rolling Stone UK, NME UK, The Line of Best Fit and Dork Mag, plus adds to a myriad of global tastemaker playlists across Spotify and Apple Music.

Confidence Man are kicking off the New Year at Let Them Eat Cake, before playing a show at Melbourne’s Forum in February and Summer Camp Festival dates in Sydney and Melbourne in February/March. The band will then head to the UK and Europe for a huge club and theatre tour with more dates to be added.
