Emerging Sydney band Martom are set to release their debut single ‘LSD Chimpanzee’ next Friday, December 4th.

Hailing from the north western outskirts of Sydney, Martom consists of drummer Martin Atencio, bassist Chris Modderno, and lead vocalist and guitarist Tomas Somera II.
The group met in high school back in 2008 and have been playing in different iterations of the band until they solidified the trio earlier this year, and partnering up with manager Jack Blundell to record and release ‘LSD Chimpanzee’.

LSD Chimpanzee was inspired by a group of scientists in the 1970's who gave acid to a chimpanzee, as they wanted to observe the interactions it had in the wild.

The track was laid down in Mindfield Studios with Miles Devine of the band Raindrop. Tapping into their influences of Alt-J, Gus Dapperton, Jamie T, they created a groovy tune with an irresistible builds, and a rhythm guaranteed to get your body moving
