Friendless - Reveals Exhilarating New Single 'Drip' ft. Jannah Beth
Following on from his bonkers dance floor-filler ‘Lemonade’, one of Australia’s most endearing electronic artists Friendless has just unveiled his electrifying new single ‘Drip’ featuring long-time collaborator Jannah Beth.
Launching with feverish intensity and a relentless pace, ‘Drip’ has all the characteristics of an infectious club anthem. Melding a steadfast beat, angular synths and the potent cadences of feature artist Jannah Beth, the track only takes a breath to introduce its hypnotizing bridge, before hurtling towards its ecstatic final chorus.
Friendless’ previous releases have been strongly supported by the likes of BBC Radio 1, triple j, Spotify, the ABC’s Rage, Australian community radio and triple j Unearthed, who selected him as one of the winners of their NIDA video clip competition in 2019. They’ve also been widely embraced by Australian tastemaker blogs Pilerats, Acid Stag, Purple Sneakers, Cool Accidents, Project U, The AU Review and Stoney Roads.
In the live arena, the producer has spent the last six years playing shows across Sydney and Australia, including supporting dance luminaires PNAU, Duke Dumont, Shiba San and Justin Martin.
Friendless also involves himself in the community through charity work with organizations such as Heaps Decent, who work with kids in Juvenile Justice Centres. “It was something I was passionate about,” explains Friendless. “These kids were only ‘criminals’ due to generational poverty and undiagnosed mental health issues in families that usually manifested itself in addiction issues and violence” he continues.
In the coming weeks. Friendless will reveal an accompanying music video for ‘Drip’.
