MIIESHA RELEASES 'MIRRORS' EP / 'SMOKE & MIRRORS' DOUBLE EP out now

The eagerly anticipated release of Miiesha’s Mirrors EP which joins the already released Smoke EP, together forming an incredible body of work where Miiesha gives us a deeply personal look into her world.

Today also marks the start of Miiesha’s debut headline tour beginning in Sydney tonight with a sold-out show as part of Vivid LIVE. The tour heads to Brisbane and Melbourne next weekend where crowds can expect a must-see show where her incredible voice, charisma and storytelling take centre stage, as seen recently in her national support slot for Dermot Kennedy.

The headline tour will be followed up with performances at Splendour in the Grass and Listen Out festivals.

Additionally, now sees the release of the music video for single ‘Still Dream’. A vividly colourful performance video it shows Miiesha in her element, delivering her message that everything will be ok.

On Mirrors, Miiesha looks back seeking emotional clarity. She still has questions but understands there may never be answers for some of them. She contemplates giving up (‘Everything’) and asks for spiritual strength (‘War’) before exploring the genesis of her pain (‘Skin Deep’). She then vows to break the cycle of trauma (‘Still Dream’) while acknowledging the patience it takes for change (‘Ready’). The production reflects the calmer state of assessment and the hopeful process of moving towards change, the calm after the storm we heard on the Smoke EP.

The Smoke & Mirrors EP’s are both written performed and recorded by Miiesha, Stephen Collins and LUCIANBLOMKAMP.

It’s been a mammoth few years for the Queensland artist starting with the release of her ARIA Award winning debut album Nyaaringu. The album picked up five ARIAs, four Queensland Music Awards, and a NIMA. She has gone on to win Song of the Year at the National Indigenous Music Awards for ‘Damaged’, an Honourable Mention in the 2021 Vanda & Young songwriting competition for ‘Made for Silence’, won consecutive ‘Soul/Funk/RNB’ Queensland Music Awards and been nominated for an APRA Award for Most Performed R&B/Soul work. Miiesha was also nominated for APRA/AMCOS Breakthrough Songwriter of the Year.
