Brisbane-based singer-songwriter Paulina has just revealed a picturesque accompanying video for her new single ‘Lonely Drives’ – shot, directed and edited by Matt Pettigrew and Toby Hobart from Slate Media.
Shot at Wivenhoe Dam and surrounding areas, the clip features Paulina exploring scenic locations in a yellow retro Ford Fairmont XY. Drone cameras capture attractive footage and colourful sunsets, as the video’s naturalness honours the sentimentality of the song.
Paulina talks about the concept behind the video for ‘Lonely Drives’:
“The music video is about me going on a drive, alone, in ‘my’ car, as it goes with the lyrics of the song. It represents that I, in a sense, only really need myself and this car, as the world is my own.”
Since its release, 'Lonely Drives' has been supported by the likes of The AU Review, Sounds of Oz, Livewire, Good Call Live and Rawing In The Pit Media. It has also seen radio support from triple j, triple j Unearthed, 4ZZZ and Radio Adelaide.
