Sydney Rockers Lillye Announce ‘Unplugged’ at The Vanguard Tuesday December 15th
With 2020 being a year no one could have ever predicted, Sydney hard rock sensations Lillye have taken advantage of the down time to get busy writing new material for their second full length album.
The band released a single in this time paying homage to Aussie rockers The Screaming Jets with a fresh twist on their hit single from the 90’s ‘Better’. The fan response was immediate with the track coming straight in at #3 on the iTunes Rock Chart and working it's way up to the Top Spot at #1 after just a few hours!

Also within this time, lead singer Virginia brought rock to the masses on a very bizarre
Covid season of The Voice.
They were also fortunate enough to announce their signing to one of the elite booking agencies in Australia, Destroy All Lines. In conjunction with DAL, they are excited to present a very special show on Tuesday, December 15.
Lillye will return to the iconic Vanguard in Newtown for an exclusive acoustic performance to cap off 2020. Known for their visceral and in-your-face hard rock energy, they will take their intense sound to a new realm with a stripped- back and intimate take on their songs.
‘It’s been a crazy ass year! To say we are pumped to get back on the road again is an understatement.. we are beyond keen to personally and physically interact with our fans again!’ Says Virginia.

ABOUT LILLYE
Sydney hard rockers, Lillye formed in 2012 and feature the powerhouse vocals of Virginia Lillye, guitarist Matt Ellis, bassist Christian Lauria and drummer Stef Billimoria.
They have shared the stage with CrazyTown, Skid Row, Theory of a Deadman, Guns ’N’ Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke, Electric Mary, Palace of the King and have toured regularly with high-profile appearances at various festivals across Australia. Virginia also sang with Gene Simmons on his 2018 Australian tour. Lillye travelled to the Middle East to play for the Australian, American, English, Italian and Dutch troops. They have won a Global Music Award and were nominated twice at the Australian Independent Music Awards.
In 2014 they independently released their debut Lillye EP and in 2018 they signed with US label Eclipse Records and delivered their full-length debut album, Evolve.
2020 saw Lillye release a cover of The Screaming Jets classic 'Better' and also saw Virginia reach the Top 5 on TV show, The Voice as part of Team Boy George.
