Black Heart Breakers – 'Pressure Drop' - Song Review
REVIEW BY: JADE GUIDA
Sydney’s Black Heart Breakers have dropped a new feel good track entitled “Pressure Drop”. This song is brimming with energy. This song is a refreshing take on taking a step back. The song really captivates with the narrative of wanting and needing to step back from the pressures and regularity of daily life. You are presented with a very articulate and honest look at how and why at any given point we may need to appreciate and focus on the small and meaningful things in life. Punk is a very underrated genre when it comes to tackling big issues. Typically when you cut through winding instrumentals and in your face vocals, the core of punk is looking at these very real topics in an incredibly honest light and Black Heart Breakers do this very well. Christian Scanu (Molly & The Krells) has joined the three piece and offers his undeniable polished skill on the Drums. His crisp sound undeniably resonates throughout the track and really plays into the overall crisp sound of the track.
This song is very tight. Overall the song is energetic, uplifting and well thought out. From music, lyrics to the core of the narrative this is a clever little track and I am eager to see what else the band has to offer in the coming months.
