WORDS BY: JADE GUIDA

Every Year I tell my friends that local Pop Punk is going to explode. I assure them that this is the year that I can proudly and openly fly the pop punk flag I have carried around since the early 2000s.

Finally a band has delivered.

Newcastle pop punk outfit PSTCRDS have absolutely exploded with their newest release ‘Don’t Fake it’.

With the honesty and energy only true pop punk bands deliver the track offers the duality of being caught inside of your own dark place and still wanting to protect those close to you. The song plays with this idea that we are inhibiting an almost false reality, our perceptions and experiences aren’t as accurate as our portrayal of them to our nearest and dearest.

“Don’t Fake It” is the first release off of the  ‘This Place or Our Pace’ due to be released in May.
