SINGLE REVIEW – LIFESTYLE BY JASON DERULO & ADAM LEVINE

Hit producing legend Jason Deruo has joined up with Maroon 5’s lead singer Adam Levine to create a catchy, groovy, dance-worthy song called ‘Lifestyle.’ When two talented artists team up, they almost always produce pure fire – and that’s exactly what Jason Derulo and Adam Levine have done with ‘Lifestyle.’ It’s a track about wooing a woman with high class tastes, with Levine’s classic serenading voice accompanying Derulo’s soul perfectly.
‘Lifestyle’ is instantly a song you won’t be able to get out of your head. It’s got an interesting jazzy piano melody throughout that is definitely unique, yet true to Derulo’s signature sounds. Levine definitely leaves his mark on the track as well, past the mid point of the song there’s a clear Maroon 5 vibe flowing back into a Derulo sounding song near the end. It’s truly an intriguing piece from both artists if you are familiar with their individual styles.
The music video is of course on theme as well, with Derulo showing off some of his noteworthy dance skills among lavish backgrounds. Though Levine doesn’t appear in the music video, it’s still a fantastic visual accompaniment to his parts of the song. Derulo appears clad in riches, amongst gold painted dancers while he croons about a lady of high class.
It has all the right ingredients to potentially become a TikTok famous song, and if we were in a pre-COVID world it would be played at clubs like there’s no tomorrow. ‘Lifestyle’ is one you’ll want on all your playlists, and won’t be able to get enough of.
