Single Review - Julia Stone - We All Have ft. Matt Berninger from The National
REVIEW BY: EMERALD VIOLET
Julia Stone has just released a brand new track titled “We All Have” which also features Matt Berninger from The National. The new track comes off her upcoming album “Sixty Summers” which is due to be released in April 2021. “This song is about how everything transforms and moves; even though you feel so shitty at one point, it might shift into something new”, which is quoted from Julia when asked what this track is about. “Sixty Summers” will be her first album in eight years so fans are bound to be excited for this release.
The song itself is slow and peaceful, mainly focusing on the vocals and lyrics while piano chords play softly underneath. When the vocals of Matt Berninger come in around the second verse, it completes the song. The pairs' vocals intertwine perfectly creating a beautiful sounding song. “We All Have” is like a huge, warm hug - all of your worries just fade away when you listen to the lyrics and Julia’s comforting vocals. I could listen to this 3 minute track over and over again with its ability to create easement.
Overall, This is a solid track from the artist - it’s simple with its piano chords but powerful with its gorgeous vocals from the two vocalists and well written lyrics that give you some sort of comfort in the moment. The chill vibes that this song throws out is just one of the many reasons why I really enjoy it and think that it is a very good track. It just once again showcases Julia’s talent as a musician and will get you excited for the brand new album.
Definitely check this song out if you haven’t and you’re looking for a soft, chill track to vibe to.
