Song Review - Christine Tarquinio - ‘Falling Free’
REVIEW BY: Camilo Piovesan
If you thought that being locked down during Coronavirus, worse still in the most locked down city in the world, would have hampered the creative juices, both lyrically and vocally of this Melbourne based singer/songwriter Christine Tarquinio, you would be wrong. With 7 singles and an EP under her belt to date, her husband is her constant support and inspiration. Add her creative team taking in the idea – or “the seed” as Christine likes to name it, to create what is her latest release, which would take you to a vocal and lyrical ecstasy.
Falling Free, is a song born during the pandemic, with Christine and an acoustic guitar. The fact that the many lockdowns forced the process of the song to be worked remotely with Producer Joshua Hennessy of Pivotal Music Melbourne, had no effect on the quality of her vocals, delivering a message of taking chances despite a fear of failure. A message of motivation, over a background of groove with guitar, strings and a beat.
This is an optimistic pop single, that will have you looking for a repeat listen.
