Song Review - G-Flip & Lauren Sanderson - 'GAY 4 ME'
REVIEW BY: ISABELLA URETA
Okay so this is my first time listening to miss G Flip, Georgia Claire Flipo. What an awesome chick, and this girl is Aussie, yay to more Australian artists!
This track is awesome. Love the lyrics, how it tells a story about not trusting this other girl, or there's lots of confusion from the other girl she is singing about. I think the girl she’s singing about just doesn’t know who or what she knows about herself, maybe she’s confused about her sexuality? The collaboration with Lauren is great, I love a song when two artists get together to make a dope track like this. The use of the drums, the guitar, the bass, everything about this song has got awesome written all over it.
The video is pretty cool too, it's sexy and also shows off her style. She plays the drums, and sings with the other artists. The glimpses of this girl who they are singing about, seems to be pretty hot there on the bed working it and playing the hot sexy girl part. Love!
I think I like G Flip more than the song. This girl is so talented. Not only does she have an amazing voice, but she is also a producer, she plays the drums, the guitar and the bass. This girl is a proper artist. I love, admire and find artists like this so inspiring, who have multi skills such as G flip. I mean how cool it is, to just be able to think of something so many people can relate to and bring it out like in this case in a song, or share it in a video. Apparently she’s been drumming away since she was a kid, love that !
I love her vibe, tomboy and sexy, this girl has got some style and the girl she’s collaborating with Lauren, is super cute too. I'm sure many people can relate to this song. I mean the dating world these days is so exhausting, no one knows what they want, everyone plays games, and even if you don’t want to play games, you still end up getting hurt because the other person is playing with you. It’s infuriating, and this song explains a lot of how our culture in the dating world is going, by, straight, gay, basically all the same. I really enjoyed everything about it. The message of this song is exactly what's happening in this vicious dating circle for confused people looking for love.
