Video Review - Crowbar - Bleeding From Every Hole

REVIEW BY: ISABELLA URETA

What a hectic band! This is my first time listening to this band, I know they are an American band which my friend told me they are very popular especially in New Orleans. Listening to this track definitely, I was taken back like wow! Hectic stuff right there, in a good way, I mean I love all music. This song is intense, kinda slow and low yet I love the sound of the heavy guitar, and that bass! From what I was told, Kirk I believe is his name, the main singer, and the founder of this band has a pretty amazing yet intense voice.

The video however I found to be quite disturbing , when i was watching it kind of gave me a cringe, I even closed my eyes just to listen to the vocals. At the same time I can see people loving it, it's so cool to see how people are so different and can love something visually and another person may feel the opposite way. It's like you watch this video, yet in my case I can’t, I don’t know why, it just makes me feel uncomfortable. Though you gotta admire the work that someone has gone and done to create the cinematography, I mean the guys of the band wanted it like this, so I’m sure it resonates with them for a reason.

I can see why many people would be a fan of this band. Metal music gives you a rush of adrenaline, great to express rage, and let loose some steam. While it may not be for everyone the sound of the guitars, drums, blazing flow, I know its a positive genre to a lot of fans of the metal music world.

This song also seems to be very brutal, with a punk-ish bass. Punk vibes are great because you can be yourself , to understand your own rules. But this song is metal, rock metal, its energetic, raw edgy, and the lyrics are bomb. I couldn’t fully understand what he was singing, though some of the words sounded pretty deep there for sure. I feel this song when I don't watch the video makes me feel a little mad, almost aggressive, which in a positive way is good for me personally as I feel I can let go of some of the rage I have inside. It almost helps release all of that built up aggression inside.
