Song Review - Lisa Mitchell - I Believe In Kindness
REVIEW BY: PETER MOREMAN
Lisa Mitchell’s new track, I Believe In Kindness, is a soothing song about expression and hope. It’s a slow lullaby that simply flows like a river, taking you for a calming ride.
Mitchell has kept true to her sound. Unlike a lot of the songs that we are hearing these days on the radio or are pushed upon us by producers, we are hearing something honest and not drowned out by over the top beats and unnecessary sexual inuendo.
I love how when the first note is played, you’re calmed. You know you’re in for a nice journey with this track. Mitchell made her message and feelings obvious and clear for us to understand. We shouldn’t let the nasty things on the surface that we see day in and day out govern our attitude.
The melody and pacing are spot on. No note seems to be out of place or sounding off. It’s been carefully crafted for you to relax and unwind to. I Believe In Kindness is of the same feeling of many of Mitchell’s previous songs, so it will be easy for newcomers to fall down her rabbit hole.
We’ve seen for years now Mitchell belt out track after track, with no signs of slowing down. She clearly loves her craft and is strongly reflected in this song. I’m curious to see what else she releases this year; I have no doubt it’ll be great.
