Song Review - Lorde - Stoned At The Nail Salon

Iconic New Zealand vocalist Lorde has just shared another single from her upcoming album Solar Power, ‘Stoned At the Nail Salon.’
Opening with her quaint vocals, they are met with an equally quaint guitar, played by Jack Antanoff, whose iconic production elements can be heard throughout the track. We then get into a beautiful pre-chorus, where the listener can truly hear each word she sings, with an infectious amount of emotion, displaying how much this song must really mean to her.
The track then follows through to an area where we can hear her harmonise with herself, not sounding over the top, but the perfect balance, helping to pull the listener in. The track then slowly builds up between the guitar and vocals, taking the listener on aural journey that they will remember forever. With this coming after a truly amazing track ‘Solar Power,’ Solar Power is shaping up to be the singer’s best album to date.
ABOUT LORDE
