Song Review - Repriever - Resurface
REVIEW BY: EMERALD VIOLET
Prog-metal band Repriever shared their brand new single “Resurface” with the world and it is without a doubt one of their best tracks to date. This band just keeps getting better and better with every release and certainly doesn't disappoint when it comes to that great heavy sound. Following up from their previous track “Grim '' released back in February and saw huge love and success with fans/listeners while gaining over 18,000 streams on Spotify. If you’ve never heard of Repriever, then “Resurface” will be the track that instantly makes you a fan.
From the first listen, you are welcomed with fast drums followed by face melting guitar riffs and if that’s not enough for you, the vocals come in strong, in your face vocals that take it to the next level and complete everything - in other words, you’ll be hooked. There is just so much talent, talent, talent that shines through this track from each of the band members and you can tell they are one to be watched.
Vocalist Joshua Stewart touches on the track's themes: “The often crippling fear of abandonment is something a lot of us live with and it often gets a hold of someone as the aftermath of a loved one's actions. Resurface touches on dealing with this anxiety and trying to keep emotions in control without just bottling them away”
To sum it up, “Resurface” is such a solid track that is bound to be stuck on repeat with it’s hard and heavy sound and strong lyrics - it will have you headbanging all day no matter where you are. I can’t wait to see what’s next for Repriever and look forward to all of their future releases.
