Song Review - Twin Temple - ‘Let's Have A Satanic Orgy’ | ‘Tengamos La Orgía Satánica’

The rock band with a twist, Twin Temple, have come out with a new track or should I say double single. Yes, that’s what I meant to write double single. The song is called Let’s Have A Satanic Orgy and it’s Spanish counterpart is Tengamos La Orgia Satánica.
A little bit of backstory for anyone who doesn’t know them. The satanic band are entirely compromised of partners Alexandra and Zachary James. They hail from L.A. and have been active for around 5 years now, and they are only getting bigger.
Twin Temple aren’t what you may expect from ‘devout Satanists’. Their sound takes you back to the fifties and sixties. They just have that sort of rock jam and sway you would expect from the swing eras, and this song is a great example of that. Immediately you are transported to another time and place. The absolute mix of instruments complimenting Alexandra’s voice is really something else. It is so melodic and forthright.
As always, they don’t mess about with their subject matter and how they go about singing it. If you’re not on board with listening to people talk about crazy sex and well, those sorts of things, this won’t be the song for you. But honestly, even if you ignored the lyrics (please don’t), the music is just crazy good! The Latin influences (listen to Tengamos La Orgia Satánica straight after) mixed with rock n roll is just brilliant and straight up gets you moving along. Although, I do think it went on a for a little too long. Not much after the 3-minute mark, it began to drag a bit and that’s it, my only criticism.
Let’s Have A Satanic Orgy gives us a great twist on what we think Satanists would create and have made something unique and memorable. Give me more!
