I am so excited by this release.
This is the most exceptional and theatrical piece of music I have heard in the last 15 years. This is nod to the emo and pop classics like MCR and FOB but with a sprinkle of Ice Nine Kills. Every element you could hope for, you get.
This track is a masterpiece of energy, instrumentals, lyrics and vocals. The entire package of this song is wrapped in tidy little bow of theatre and an effortlessly addictive charm. Jack Cumes is a brilliantly talented vocalist with a great range, and his tone and pitch on this track showcase this effortlessly.
30 seconds in and almost as soon as Cumes opens his mouth I was hooked on this track.
The instrumental is emo/ pop punk perfection. For any fan of the genre you know the feeling you get when your favourite classic My Chem song comes on and you get that weird warmth and comfort the classic bring? I promise you Wolf and Chain will do that for you. Its a fresh and fun but has a nostalgic vibe.
The accompanying video is incredibly engaging. It has a quirky vibe from the outset. The colours, the flow and the general concept are all captivating. The song and video fit perfectly together, like holding hands with your best friend. This is a perfect paring and I dare you to watch it less then 10 times in one sitting.
I love this release. My favourite release of 2021.
