ASTRALS ‘Daylight Drip’ Single Review

Review By: Em Violet

ASTRALS is a dream pop/garage rock solo project by Claire Simpson from Sydney. “Daylight Drip” is a brand new track from this project and throws off some Sonic Youth vibes with it’s shoegaze chord progressions mixed with some dreamy notes and vocals to make it unique.

The music video for the track is an 80’s aesthetic dream and fits the vibe of the song perfectly. This artist is extremely talented – from the first listen of this track, I was 100% hooked with its gorgeous dream sound that takes you away. Claire Simpson’s vocals and lyrics are impressive and the sounds of everything coming together compliments the vocals so well. The chorus is a highlight in this track because of the melody and how catchy it is.

Definitely check out this new track by ASTRALS because you are bound to love it and it’s overall just a great time. I cannot wait to see where this artist goes in the future with their incredible talent.
