Modality - 'The Void' - Single Review

Modality are fast becoming one of the breakthrough artists of the Melbourne Progressive metal scene. Their new single “The Void” is a track that is bound to get heads turning and banging.  

The song hits hard with strong groove filled riffs showing influence from the likes of Karnivool, Tesseract and Periphery. Dual vocals bring power, depth and dimension to this modern progressive track. 

The song weaves through powerful djent passages before hitting the audience with one of the most melodically beautiful choruses I have heard within this genre in a long time.  

The accompanying music video is beautifully shot and artistically stimulating. A fitting compliment to a song that challenges the struggles we have faced mentally over the course of a challenging 2020 due to Covid-19.  

This is a track that will surely create momentum and get Modality noticed amongst the progressive heavyweights. I look forward to the next chapter for this band.
