They've got massive ambitions if the size of this track is anything to go by. Soaring melodic punk with plenty of spice in the mix.” – 4/5 stars Dave Ruby Howe - triple j Unearthed (AUS) “This is clinical stuff from a swift farewell. There's a big pop rinse on it, but the punk heat always shines brightest in the balance.” – 4/5 stars

Sydney Pop-Punk band, A Swift Farewell are dropping a brand new track titled “Sunburn” which like any great pop punk song, is full of emotion and great guitar chords. The band have been grabbing the attention of pop-punk fans for a while now but gained a whole lotta praise when they released their last track “Mousetrap” back in June of this year. The song saw traction from the likes of Music Feeds, Triple J, and Wall Of Sound. Aside from their tracks being solid bangers, the four-piece are known around the East Coast for their high energetic live performances and great attitudes.

We are welcomed by the softer chords of the guitar that are shortly followed by the soothing vocals from Emma Mather which creates a great first verse.

Rolling drums and strong bass soon come together to complete the missing piece of this emotional track.

Once the chorus kicks in, all I can say is that I wanna turn the volume up all the way every single time. The melody and the lyrics bring this modern pop punk sound that is mixed with some extra flavour and makes it super repeat worthy - seriously, this is going on my repeat playlist. A Swift Farewell always seems to take it to the next level with the creativity in their music which is what I admire so much about them. When you think it can’t get any better - it does.

“Sunburn” is a fantastic three minute track that sparks talent from all four members in the band as they come together and have successfully created another amazing track that will quickly become a favourite from the first listen. Do yourself a favour, check these guys out and let us know what you think about the new track.
