Enlisting New Zealand rising star BENEE for his remix of Help Herself, BBNO$ has gone down a different route to that of his usual “ignorant but melodic” rap style. Originally, Help Herself was just BBNO$ and producer Diamond Pistols, but BBNO$ thought something could be missing.
“I always thought we needed a female voice on this song, and BENEE came in with those sweet harmonies and now this mf slapping. Respectfully. This one emotional not gonna lie.” BBNO$
This track is definitely emotional, and holds more of a softer and raw feel compared to what he’s done previously, it's a nice change of pace. The contrast of both voices come together so beautifully, creating this mellow boppy groove throughout the song. Those easy breezy melodies from BENNEE just seep right into your brain, they’re so catchy.
Accompanying the track is a merry music video showing both artists on facetime having fun, singing along and showcasing some stellar dance moves. There's even a cameo from BENEE’S dear pet cat. This video is super wholesome and genuine.
BBNO$’s sound is so versatile I think it would be a good idea if he were to make more indie tracks like this one in the future. All in all, this is a certified banger.
