Following the success of her punk-filled, love-trickled album ‘ANARCHY,’ Sizzy Rocket is hitting 2021 with a bang and has spoiled us with not one, but TWO incredible tracks. ‘American Rage / The World is Burning’ are a beautiful depiction of the duality of love and life, as well as of Sizzy Rocket herself.

‘American Rage’ starts off with Sizzy’s trademark voice serenading, and then smashes into a drum filled verse. It truly is anthemic, making you feel like you’re capable of doing anything and everything. An irresistibly catchy chorus flows with Rocket’s words about chaos and freedom, complemented between fierce guitar riffs. This song is the soundtrack to misbehaving and breaking the rules with your friends and having the best damn time doing it. ‘American Rage’ is like the sister to ‘ANARCHY’ that just went to their first punk concert and loved it.

From the high intensity unruly anthem that is ‘American Rage,’ we flow into ‘The World is Burning.’ This track is a from a whole other dimension compared to ‘American Rage,’ in the most exquisite, delicate ways. ‘The World is Burning’ bears weight with the first notes, heightening as Rocket’s voice hits, crooning about a past love. The emotion felt in Rocket’s voice is unmatched compared to her past works; a graceful and delicate chorus followed by a choir-like flutter of backing vocals will carry you straight to heaven. Easily one of her most touching and moving songs, ‘The World is Burning’ is an enticing example of how Sizzy Rocket can serenade you all night long.

These two tracks are gifts from Sizzy to the world and to herself, both with a distinct design and message. Each song shows different sides of Rocket, and you won’t want to miss out on either one. From her album ‘Thrills’ in 2016, through to the absolutely iconic ‘Grrrl’ in 2019 and ‘ANARCHY’ in 2020, these pieces are a wonderful glimpse into what Sizzy has in store for us in the future. Sizzy wasn’t joking when she said she was the Queen of the World on ‘ANARCHY,’ and these hits prove it.
