Your favourite anti-pop star, Baby Queen, is starting off 2021 right with an honest, infectious, and insanely catchy hit called ‘Raw Thoughts.’ Following up to her previous banger ‘Want Me,’ this track encapsulates her indie-pop voice perfectly as she serenades us about discovering freedom, heartbreak, and truly finding yourself.

‘Raw Thoughts’ is about exactly that – raw, unfiltered thoughts from inside Baby Queen’s head about herself, experiences, feelings, and being whoever she wants to be after life has tried to hold her back.

“I had been going through a terrible breakup, and discovering partying was like discovering freedom. I was going to places my ex had never been, I was meeting people they would never meet and doing things that would make their skin crawl. I think I fell in love with the danger of it. I had realized that I could do or be whoever I wanted to be, even though the only thing I wanted was to be loved by them again,” Baby Queen said about the track.

Production on ‘Raw Thoughts’ is the opposite of raw; it’s a synth infused indie-pop anthem, that you won’t be able to get out of your head. Baby Queen’s alternative voice meshes perfectly with the polished pop beat, making for an undeniably addictive hit.

The music video depicts Baby Queen and friends just being themselves – hanging out, partying, and engulfing what it means to be young and reckless as you discover yourself in this big world. Scenes of dancing, rollerblading and pillow fights are flashed on screen as Baby Queen goes through both the motions and emotions of being young, lost, and in love. It’s the perfect visual companion to the youthful and carefree piece that is ‘Raw Thoughts.’

2021 has just begun and already Baby Queen is blessing us with catchy alt-pop bangers; have a listen to ‘Raw Thoughts’ and get in line to hear whatever she might have in store for us next!
